Gang Takeover

Since the beginning of the migrant surge 3 1/2 years ago, Denver has proudly proclaimed itself as a “sanctuary city.” As a result, Denver attracted a large number of illegal immigrants who have since spread out into the nearby suburbs and smaller cities.

The city of Aurora, Co. has attracted many members of a notorious Venezuelan crime gang called Tren de Aragua, aka TdA.

The gang has terrorized residents and overrun entire apartment complexes, causing many people to abandon their homes in order to find safety.

An anonymous former resident of one of the apartment buildings that members of Tren de Aragua have collected rent from residents in at least one overrun complex.

Mayor Coffman claims the city of Aurora is “a victim” of federal policy and nearby Denver’s sanctuary city policy. He says this is a federal problem, “They need to resolve it. Not us. But somehow we got sucked into this,” said Coffman.

“You’ve had these massive waves of migrants coming across the border that many of them crossed the border illegally, were arrested, asked for a political asylum, were not adequately vetted, were released into the country, the city of Aurora. We did everything we could to, quite frankly, keep them out of out of the city because it’s not our problem. This is a federal problem,” the mayor asserted.

Do you think the federal government is responsible and should take immediate action to help the residents of Aurora, and everywhere else that the immigration surge has put citizens in danger?
